of Dreams Staff
Bruce
Adams is Fields of
Dreams' Senior Program Advisor.
He is the president of A Greater Washington and founder
of FOD. He is a native of Potomac, Maryland and the founder
and president of the Bethesda Community Base Ball Club.
Bruce's passion for baseball and love of the city helped
conceive FOD, while his concern about the economic disparities
that exist in DC directed the vision.
Keith
Stubbs
is our Director of Baseball Operations. Keith Stubbs, Director
of Baseball Operations, is also the Director of the RBI
Academy in the District and a scout for the Philadelphia
Phillies. For the last three summers, Keith has run a summer
baseball camp for District youth. He is the former head
baseball coach at Archbishop Carroll High School and assistant
coach at the Maret School. Keith is a graduate of Hampton
University with a degree in education.
Bob
Brandon is the Executive Director of A Greater Washington
and helped co-found the Fields of Dreams program. Brandon is a
public interest attorney recognized as one of the nation's
leading consumer advocates and has run several large
non-profit organizations. A resident of Washington DC since
1978, Brandon has been active in local DC civic affairs.
He has been the Chair of the Ward 3 Democratic Party
and a vice-Chair of Mayor Fenty’s transition committee,
specializing in health care In 2000, he was selected as Father
of the Year by the Federation of Civic Associations in
recognition of his community involvement.
Jane
Argetsinger is the Program Director. She
graduated cum laude from The George Washington University with
a dual major in Political Science and Sociology.
She spent 4 years during college both tutoring
individual students and working in classrooms in DCPS.
Her senior year she managed a group of fifteen tutors.
After college, she spent the summer teaching in South Central
Los Angeles for the Los Angeles Unified Public School
District. During
this time, she also took an intensive course that covered
raising student achievement in underserved school districts,
instituting measurable outcomes, dealing with classroom
management, etc. She
has been with Fields of Dreams since April 2006.
Currently, she is pursuing a graduate degree
certificate through the Johns Hopkins University on
Out-of-School Time Leadership
Direct
Service Staff- Teachers & Head Coaches. We
have one teacher and one head coach at each school during the
school year who work as a team both in the classroom and on
the field. All teachers are DCPS teachers and are recruited
directly from the schools and appointed by the principal.
Most of our staff continue with us during the summer and
many have been with the program since its inception.
